I Heard It From The PR Girl

Chapter 1: Getting Organized for Writing

Objectives for PR writing:

Public relations writers differ from journalist in several ways. One of those ways involves the purpose of their writing. PR writers work to advocate their client or product, unlike journalists.

“It goes back 2,000 years to Aristotle, who conceptualized the term rhetoric – the ability to determine what needs to be said and how it should be said to achieve desired outcomes.”

What PR writers should carefully consider when looking to buy a computer:

  1. Laptops – better for travel and more flexible
  2. Desktops – more memory and hard disk space.  These are better for those professionals who work from an office or home.
  3. PCs – lower cost than Apple, are 90% of computers sold, and are more readily available.
  4. Apple – reviews say they “are faster, better and far less prone to malicious software than Microsoft’s Vista operating system.”
